A SUCCESS STORY What a wonderfully successful year Jack has had, and it is not over yet !! Since Jack went to his new home last November with Emily and her mum, Kath, he has gone from strength to strength and I want to thank Emily and Kath for giving him the oppurtunity to succeed as he certainly has. This to me is what it is all about.Connemaras are ‘ built ‘ to have a go at everything and if given the chance will excel at everything. They are not meant to be ‘Field Ornaments ‘ or ‘ Showpieces ‘, they love to be ridden, go out, meet people ! enjoy life ! Jack is very special to me, he was my first connemara foal, I bought him as a 9 month old colt when I was 16 to have a go at bringing on one of these delightful ponies.
I took it very slowly with Jack and when he was 3 I lightly backed him. He always had boots on when I rode him and now has very clean legs, no splints etc.I gave Jack the oppurtunity to have a go at everything as he was growing up, hacking, fun rides, pony club, working hunter, showjumping, ridden mountain and morland, and dressage including dressage to music. I believe this to be very important to produce, as Jack is, a lovely natured, very talented and well adjusted pony.

He has superb paces and Kath will probably be doing some dressage with him this winter. His summer season has culminated at the Northern Connemara Show ( Osbaldeston ) where he won the JUNIOR W.H.P. with Emily; the INTERMEDIATE W.H.P. with Kath and was overall:-
